Our Reservoir Year End Appeal

The trees around our “hidden jewel” have lost their blazing foliage, and snowflakes are gently falling onto our rippling lake. A beautiful way for nature to tell us that another Reservoir year is over, and what an inspiring year it was!

Your continued support at this year’s end will keep our programs and long-term planning going in 2014. This year, over 500 neighbors kayaked, and young and old fished for sunnies and bass. Visitors strolled on the 20-foot stone walls and gazed over our 13 acres.

With the Reservoir as their science lab, students from PS 28 created a national award-winning project (click here.) Meanwhile, “Through An Open Gate: JC Reservoir #3″ (click here) displayed young photographers’ work at City Hall and the Studio Arts Tour.

Next year, the Reservoir Alliance will begin a multi-year program with the City of Jersey City to transform the Reservoir into year-round natural and historic parkland, developing recreation opportunities while preserving the landmarked buildings and conserving the Reservoir’s unique ecosystem.

But this remarkable transformation can’t happen without you! Please make a tax-deductible donation today to the Jersey City Reservoir Preservation Alliance to help sustain today’s programs and bring about tomorrow’s plans.

Be a part of making this happen!
